Investigation of Affect of Friction of Direct Drive In-Wheel Motor on the Electric Power Consumption

ダイレクトドライブインホイールモータを使用した車両における摺動抵抗が電力消費量性能に及ぼす影響

In-wheel motor is one of the methods to increase the driving efficiency. And direct drive can realize the highest mechanical efficiency because of its simple structure. Direct drive has no gears between the motors and the wheels. Therefore the parts that have mechanical loss are the bearing and the seals. The frictions of the parts are tested and the new method of parts layout is also suggested. The friction of the direct drive motors is 30.4N with the tires whose radius is 0.3 meters. And electric consumption of the friction is 8.94 Wh / km in JC08 mode.本論文では機械的損失を極限まで減らしたインホイールダイレクトドライブモータが発生する摺動抵抗を明らかにした.その上で,摺動部分で発生していた損失を取り除く手法を適用し,その効果が車両の電力消費量へ与える影響について分析を行った.結果,一般乗用車と同等にする設計が可能であることが分かった.
