SEGREGATION OF TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS RESULTS IN A BETTER LIVING ENVIRONMENT

GATETUR, ET BEDRE BOMILJO

New traffic control measures can again make streets in residential areas accessible for residents by admitting cars on the pedestrians' terms. Design examples for such areas are given together with an evaluation of responsibilities in relation to planning, construction and maintenance. Costs and financing are also discussed. (TRRL)
