CONTROL OF THE OPERATING CONDITIONS OF A MARINE GAS-TURBINE INSTALLATION ACCORDING TO THE TEMPERATURE OF THE EXTERNAL AIR
Control of the power of a gas-turbine installation under rated conditions by changing the air temperature at the input to the second compressor is examined. The work was done to increase the stability of the power characteristic of the installation. A three-shaft installation is used. It is found that the use of an air-temperature regulator at the input to the second compressor makes it possible to create installations whose free power is preserved regardless of the temperature of the external air and to increase efficiency when the ship is in cold regions.
