MAINTENANCE OF CULVERT AND BRIDGE WATERWAYS

This paper was presented at Session 6 - Paper 1. A review 11.14 culvert and bridge waterways is made. There are only five minimum energy structures studied in the survey but comments made for conventional waterways are not only relevant but may have special significance for these five structures and any similar ones built in the future. Maintenance of waterways is a continuous process as indicated in the paper and although not generally considered a major problem may become so if neglected. (TRRL)
