THE "SIGMO" STUDY. PART I INTRODUCTION AND SUMMARY

The report describes the "sigmo" study (stadsgewestelijk individueel geschat model, or individually estimated conurbation model), a transportation modelling study executed for the Netherlands Ministry of Transport. The objective of the study was to estimate a set of disaggregate models consistent with the current structure of aggregate transport forecasting methodologies used in the Netherlands. Part I presents an introduction and summarises the study approaches and results. (TRRL)
