MoviCi - urban mobility in the smart city. The project "MoviCi - Urban mobility in the smart city" connects Colombian and German researchers and practioners
The Colombian-German research network MoviCi – Movilidad urbana en ciudades intelligentes (Urban Mobility in Smart Cities) assesses recent advances in the field of smart mobility solutions. The city of tomorrow is a city, where all citizens manage to travel from home to work, to school or to shopping or leisure destinations faster, safer and more reliable. This requires an integrated transport system that includes all modes and the integration of land use - the locations where people live and the destinations they travel to - and transport. The network connects relevant stakeholders that are responsible for the application of smart mobility solutions in both countries, coming from research, industry and public authorities. By doing so, the network aims to promote integrated, intelligent and intermodal mobility solutions that will have a positive impact on improving urban mobility and quality of life in order to make mobility and development of cities more sustainable.
