Developing track circuits for moving block operation
One of the critical elements related to increasing capacity while leveraging positive train control (PTC) infrastructure is explored in this article. Track circuits are identified as one of the limiting factors in trying to provide a concept for a next-generation track circuit with moving block operation and to increase capacity.
