THE SALVAGE ASSOCIATION: COMPARING REPAIR COSTS AROUND THE WORLD

The article briefly discusses the present and future costs of ship repairs in various parts of the world, with particular reference to the information on these matters available from the Salvage Association. A table, compiled by the Association, is included showing, on comparative basis, the costs (in Aug. 1978) for different categories of repair (steelwork, Diesel machinery, turbine machinery, and general) in about 30 ship-repairing areas in various parts of the world.
