REVETMENT BLOCKS HELP HARINGEY CUT ROAD COSTS

A cheap way of constructing an urban road embankment has been introduced by the London Borough of Haringey at the Willoughby Lane site. Interlocking concrete block paving for the 7 M high embankment has been chosen rather than the more usual alternatives of either grassed slopes or reinforced concrete retaining walls. (TRRL)
