Supporting “the belt and road” initiatives: build up an interconnected transport and logistics system
“Vision and Actions on Jointly Building Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road” has been published by the Chinese government, dedicated to promote the openness and cooperation between countries and regions, and to improve infrastructure connectivity and transport effectiveness and efficiency. This paper describes how the national and local transport departments make plans and launch related initiatives to prepare for implementation of the Belt and Road (B&R) in infrastructure interconnection, information exchange, and transport facilitation. The paper explains a possible way and strategies to build up an interconnected and high efficient transport and logistics system between countries in Asia and Europe
