Proceedings of the 65th Highway Geology Symposium (HGS 2014)

The Highway Geology Symposium (HGS) was organized and held its first meeting on March 14,1950, in Richmond, Virginia, with the objective of fostering a better understanding and closer cooperation between geologists and civil engineers in the highway industry. The 2014 Proceedings of the 65th HGS held in Laramie, Wyoming, contain 31 papers that were delivered at the technical sessions. Case histories and state-of-the-art papers cover topics such as rockfalls, rockslides, landslides, stabilization, mitigation, geohazards, geosynthetics, testing, design and construction, and asset management.
