Real-time traffic management on Bern's metre gauge
The busy metre gauge commuter network serving Switzerland's capital city, Bern, is preparing to benefit from an advanced traffic management system, as testing of the new system is underway. The system was commissioned by Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn (RBS) in order to improve punctuality and reliability on its network, as well as cut energy consumption.
