EVALUATING A DYNAMIC MODEL FOR A TRAFFIC BOTTLE-NECK

TOETSING VAN EEN DYNAMISCH MODEL VOOR EEN VERKEERSBOTTLE-NECK

The article describes a follow-up study on a dynamic congestion model, which is an economic interpretation of the tail-back caused by a bottle-neck. First a theoretical sketch of the model is given and an interpretation in a given situation. One of the conclusions is that road users in the peak-hour have more knowledge of their travel costs in time than drivers in off-peak periods. /TRRL/
