CATHODIC PROTECTION OF COOLING WATER SYSTEMS
An impressed current system for the cooling water systems of large steam turbine ships uses platinum-titanium anodes in the condenser water box and the pipes entering it, and a set of dissolving iron anodes to provide iron in solution for the condenser tubes.
