SAFETY AS A CRITERION IN THE ASSESSMENT OF TRANSPORT SYSTEMS

DIE SICHERHEIT ALS BEWERTUNGSKOMPONENTE VON VERKEHRSSYSTEMEN

The evaluation of transport systems is shown expressed in the form of various equations. Unidimensional cost-benefit analyses are being replaced to an increasing extent by multidimensional analyses of useful value and cost efficiency. Evaluation factors which cannot be expressed in terms of money are determined by means of subjective estimates made by experts. As a generally-acknowledged criterion for evaluation transport systems, safety has been included amongst the evaluation equations represented, though with more or less extensive weighting.
