New Mexico Transportation By the Numbers: Meeting the State's Need for Safe, Smooth and Efficient Mobility

This report investigates the use, condition, and safety of the bridges, highways and roads of New Mexico. It also examines congestion, traffic safety, and transportation funding. Also explored is the importance of transportation and transportation improvements to economic growth. A table listing 34 needed transportation projects currently unfunded is included with data on location, estimated project cost, needed funds, and project benefits. The report recommends increased funding to improve highway, bridge, and transit conditions and expand capacity in order to support economic development and quality of life.
