Top Ten Bridges [2016]
Created in 2000, Roads & Bridges' (R&B) Top 10 Bridge awards recognize the top projects in North America. Nominations are submitted each year to the R&B editorial staff, which determines the Top 10 list based on project challenges, impact to region and scope of work. Included in this series of articles are descriptions of the projects, as well as the costs involved. The Top 10 Bridges for 2016 are as follows, in order of award ranking: (1) The New NY Bridge in South Nyack, NJ; (2) Colville River Nigliq Channel Bridge in Nuiqsut, Alaska; (3) Choctawhatchee Bay Bridge in Walton County, Florida; (4) Honolulu Rail Transit Project in Honolulu, Hawaii; (5) Kentucky Lake Bridge in Western Kentucky; (6) Troutdale Creek Bridge in Napa County, California; Hulton Bridge Replacement in Oakmont, Pennsylvania; (8) Mococo Overhead Seismic Retrofit in Martinez, California; (9) Manayunk Bridge in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and (10) Beach Road over Lagoon Pond Bridge Replacement in Oak Bluffs/Tisbury, Massachusetts.
