The Calspan Reconstruction of Accident Speeds on the Highway (CRASH) computer program was revised with the objectives of (1) improving the accuracy of reconstructions, (2) enhancing the convenience of applications, and (3) extending generality. The report documents the analytical bases for the program modifications.
