Fundamental Examination on Travel Behaviors and the limitation factors of Intellectual and Mental Disabilities

知的障がい・精神障がい者の交通行動特性とその制約要因に関する基礎的研究

The purpose of this study is to obtain fundamental knowledge in the social infrastructure to ensure travels of people with intellectual and mental disabilities. The methods used in this study are summarized as follows. First, the general characteristics of people with intellectual and mental disabilities are extracted from the existing investigations. Second, a survey of investigation of consciousness in travel behaviors of people with intellectual, mental, and physical disabilities that was conducted in the city of Toyota is subsequently analyzed. By using empirical findings obtained above, the characteristics of travel behaviors and the limitation factors of people with intellectual and mental disabilities are finally clarified compared to people with physical disabilities.本研究は、一般に移動の制約が大きいと考えられ、社会基盤整備が重点的に進められる身体障がい者のうち、下肢障がいおよび視覚障がい者との比較を通じて、知的障がい・精神障がい者の交通行動特性およびその制約要因を把握することにより、障がい者の移動を保証する社会基盤整備における基礎的知見を得ることを目的としている。まず、知的障がい・精神障がい者の特徴に関して、既存調査などにより整理する。次に、豊田市に在住する障がい者を対象に実施した交通行動に関する意識調査の結果を整理することにより、特に、身体障がい者と比較した際の知的障がい・精神障がい者の交通行動特性およびその制約要因について明らかにする。
