Methodology for benchmarking road safety in Latin America
The objective of this project is to develop a methodology to assess road safety performance in a selection of Latin American countries and benchmark their performance against a set of indicators and best practices. The expected outcome is to offer policy makers in Latin America a tool to assess the weaknesses and strengths of each country and to identify areas deserving policy attention, where the experience of other countries may be usefully applied. The results from this benchmarking analysis will be useful to policy makers and researchers in better understanding road safety, and in learning from each other in order to design effective road safety policies.
