NOISE EXAMINATION OF STATIONARY CARS. REPORT I: DEVELOPING A MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE

STOEYUNDERSOEKELSE AV STAAENDE BILER. DELRAPPORT I: UTVIKLING AV MAALEOPPLEGG

Reducing noise at the source level often provides substantial technological, economical and administrative benefits. This report is part of a source level noise reduction project, with priority given to the combustion engine. The report describes the development of the measurement procedures for measuring and analysing the noise radiating from a stationary car, as well as breaking down the total noise level to two main sources: from the engine and from the exhaust pipe.
