Gulf Regional Planning Commission Scenario Planning Workshop
This report summarizes noteworthy practices shared during a scenario planning workshop, hosted by the Gulf Regional Planning Commission (GRPC), on March 15-16, 2016, in Biloxi, Mississippi. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) sponsored this event as part of its Scenario Planning Program and in connection with the Transportation Planning Capacity Building Program jointly run by FHWA and the Federal Transit Administration. The workshop introduced the topic of scenario planning to GRPC partners and representatives from local, State, and Federal agencies, and provided an opportunity for GRPC to collect feedback on next steps for using scenario planning to better inform its planning process and leverage existing scenario planning resources and applications. Peer experts participated in the workshop from the Florida Department of Transportation, Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments, and Wilmington Area Planning Council.
