ERTMS in Norway: escaping the "burning platform"
Norway has adopted a plan to roll out European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) across its entire national network by 2030, in light of aging signalling infrastructure posing an increasing threat to operating performance. A discussion of how procurement and deployment of new signalling and train control technologies will be managed by Norway is presented.
