Ticking Clock

The Hudson River rail tunnel is over a hundred years old and in need of upgrading. Repairs and maintenance are performed every weekend, but the conditions of the tunnel are still deteriorating, causing delays for passengers. The tunnel is in need of rebuilding, and it is a critical project because it connects New Jersey with New York City as well as serving as a link to other cities. Securing funding has been difficult, but there has been progress and construction is underway.
