Pre-Warning System to Detect Pedestrian Flow Abnormities in Comprehensive Passenger Terminals

In order to enhance the safe performance of comprehensive passenger transport terminal, the paper presents a pre-warning system of pedestrian flow abnormity state identification based on the model of space pedestrian flow parameters. The system includes five subsystems: the data acquisition and management subsystem, the safety risk identification subsystem, the safety risk prediction subsystem, the safety risk assessment subsystem, and the forecasting subsystem. A prediction model of pedestrian flow density is proposed and a clear line of pedestrian flow security warning standard is developed. Taking Liaoyang City comprehensive passenger transport terminal as an example, the authors applied the simulation software AnyLogic to simulate the operation process of pedestrian flow, and demonstrate the establishment and application of pedestrian flow security pre-warning system. The results show that the system can effectively detect the pedestrian flow operation abnormal state and determine the warning level.
