The Solutions for Communication of Bus Embedded Devices with the Centre of Operation (the Case Study of Sao Paulo)

The paper aims at presenting different architectural scenarios of solutions for communication between embedded devices installed in buses and centre for operation. It brings into reader’s attention the example of São Paulo. Comparing various possible solutions of transmitting information, among the solutions with use of existing system (SPTrans protocol), new donated protocols, with the implementation of new elements into the system (like gateways), and mixed solution (within use of existing elements of infrastructure) and new ones. The paper indicates the most efficient solution for communication taking into consideration specific conditions for São Paulo city.
