Third-party Ship Management: A Greek Perspective

Third-party ship management has become more common in recent years, although the extent to which it has been adopted by different quarters of the maritime world varies. Cultural and other factors may be at work. This paper explores the case of Greece, where the decision to employ professional ship managers appears to be influenced by the attitudes of the different generations active within family ship-owning businesses.
