Estimation methods of the number of accidents considering quality of active and passive safety performance
This study proposes a model to estimate the number of accidents using two parameters. One parameter expresses quality of active safety, and the other one expresses quality of passive safety. This model uses data on accident occurrence from 1999 to 2009. The estimated parameters indicate that during this period the quality of active safety did not increase, whereas the quality of passive safety did increase.
