ITS opens perspectives for local mobility policy

ITS opent perspectieven voor lokaal mobiliteitsbeleid

The role of technology is constantly increasing in our society as a whole, but also in our mobility. Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) provide a wide range of new services which allow optimal use of the multimodal infrastructure. Think of information services, mobility services, maintenance services, services for demand management, and reservation and payment services. These services can be found in all mobility domains: traffic, freight, transport, shared mobility, parking, etc. As a city or town it is not always easy to define an ITS policy, due to budgetary constraints and the absence of specific expertise. The association was created to guide governments in this process.
