Planning of Offshore Container Terminals
This article presents the different considerations that a planner has to address when creating a layout for an offshore container terminal. The availability of an onshore staging port, customs and utility requirements and the existence/requirement of a breakwater influence the layout and corresponding area demand for offshore container terminals.
