TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS. A COMPARISON BETWEEN EXISTING REGULATIONS

TRANSPORT AV FARLIGT GODS. EN JAEMFOERELSE MELLAN GAELLANDE REGELSYSTEM

Different methods and ways of working have been used by the various international organisations responsible for issuing directives for safer transport of dangerous goods. Each mode of transport is subject to its own set of regulations, which often makes it difficult to comprehend how each system of directives is structured and how it works. The aim of this paper is to outline the principles behind these directives, and to compare the different systems with regard to harmonization in the future. In addition to the international system of regulations, the Swedish system for internal transport of dangerous goods is outlined. /TRRL/
