Risk Analysis for Passenger Ferry Port old Town Zadar – Example: Ferry Juraj Dalmatinac

Analiza rizika na podrucju putnicko-trajektne luke Zadar-grad - primjer m/t Juraj Dalmatinac

This paper analyses the risk of maritime accidents in Passenger Ferry port Old town Zadar which is characterised by the density of traffic as well as by spatial restrictions of the port area. The port is located in the extremely valuable area, in the very centre of the town, so a special attention has to be given to the operations taking place in that area. The Passenger Ferry port Old town Zadar is known for its ferries on local lines, ferries on international lines, cruise lines as well as for the different types of ships on local lines, excursion boats, fishermen’s boats, mega yachts, sailboats, boats of the local population and barcarolles. This paper will analyse only the risks of the possible maritime accidents of the ferries with the emphasis on ferry Juraj Dalmatinac.
