THE PUBLIC ROADS ADMINISTRATION NOW HAS TWO STONE CRUSHING PLANTS FOR TESTING VARIOUS DUST-REDUCING METHODS

STATENS VEGVESEN HAR NAA TO KNUSEVERK FOR PROEVNING AV STOEVBEKJEMPNINGSMETODER

In order to meet the stricter requirements of the new laws regulating working conditions in relation to the environment the Public Roads Administration has constructed two stone-crushing plants for testing various dust-removing methods. Dust removal by moisture requires large amounts of water, and this may be a problem for non-stationary plants. In one of the non-stationary plants constructed, moisture is used to reduce dust emissions, while in the other a system of covers and vacuum removal is adopted. Details of the systems are given in the article. /TRRL/
