SOME SECTIONALLY PROPORTIONAL RECTILINEAR EXTENSION TESTS ON DRY SAND

SOME EARLIER SECTIONALLY PROPORTIONAL DEFORMATION TESTS BY THE AUTHORS ARE RE-EVALUATED IN THE LIGHT OF NON-MONOTONIC EFFECTS; THE CUBOIDAL DEFORMATION APPARATUS USED WAS MODIFIED TO CONTROL VOLUME CHANGES MORE PRECISELY. THREE NEW NON-MONOTONIC TESTS ARE EVALUATED AND THE RESULTS ARE PRESENTED GRAPHICALLY. SOME GENERAL CONSTITUTIVE ASSUMPTIONS AND CERTAIN PLASTIC PROPERTIES OF DRY SAND ARE ENUMERATED. NO NEW CONSTITUTIVE EQUATIONS ARE PROPOSED.
