Managing your fleet's energy budget
This article lists ways in which taxpayer investment in the vehicles and equipment used to build and maintain their community can be minimized. These are as follows: (1) Analyze drive and duty cycles; (2) Remember the basics (in terms of simple ways to reduce energy consumption); (3) Implement telematics and driver behavior modification; (4) Consider hybrid and electrification technology; and (5) Evaluate alternative fuels. Details of these steps are further delineated.
