STRESS LOSSES IN CONCRETE IN PRESTRESSED MEMBERS

The paper discusses the reasons for stress losses in prestressed concrete, and the means of minimizing their effect. A series of experiments in described in which an attempt is made to correlate the results of stress losses in concrete and in steel obtained independently with the total losses obtained in post-tensioned members when interaction occurs between concrete and steel stresses. /TRRL/
