Interrater Reliability of the Record of Driving Errors (RODE)

In this study, the authors evaluate the interrater reliability between two occupational therapy driver rehabilitation specialists who quantitatively score specific types of driving errors using the Record of Driving Errors (RODE). Study participants are older adults diagnosed with dementia recruited through the Memory Diagnostic Center of Washington University School of Medicine. Interrater reliability is assessed using intraclass correlation (ICCs), which reflect the degree of agreement between raters. The results show almost perfect agreement between raters on major driving error and intervention categories.
