REPAIR OF DAMAGED FERROCONCRETE CONSTRUCTIONS BY GLUING STEEL SECTIONS WITH THE USE OF EPOXIDE RESINS COMPOSITION

Details are given of the repair and of the investigations concerning the statical and resistance operation of thus corrected and repaired ferroconcrete constructions. Investigations were performed with an epoxide resin (Epicote) and different ratios of fillers. All resistance parameters were investigated after 14 days of the hardening of the composition. In the investigation of beams, 2 ferroconcrete beams of 25 x 50 crossection and 6.0 m in length were subjected to the operation of destructive loads in the form of two forces applied at 1/3 of the span. Pan-type roof plates of 10 x 40 x 248 cm height were also studied. The technology of repairs is described and the details are given of the repair of floor slabs, pillars, the heads of ferroconcrete pillars, and the strengthening of ribbed floors. It is concluded that the durability of repairs and strengthenings of ferroconcrete constructions by gluing steel sections with epoxide resin compositions surpass those executed by more traditional means and is also less labor-consuming.
