EXPERIMENTAL-COMPUTATIONAL METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF SAVINGS ON CEMENT IN PLASTIFIED CONCRETE

In an effort to provide an unambigous interpretation of the economy on cement and provide guidance in mix design, a calculative-experimental method is presented for the establishment of a numerical relationship defining the quantity of cement which can be saved by using an additive. The method of computation and the considerations involved in them have been fully confirmed in building practice. The method is based on the fact that the dispersive effect of the plastifying mix results in an increased participation of the number of cement molecules in the hydration process.
