Pedestrians
This issue contains fourteen papers on pedestrians. Specific topics addressed in this issue include the following: panic in evacuations; road user behaviors at pedestrian hybrid beacons; gap acceptance in shared space street designs; crossing behavior; street layout and design for reducing barriers to walking; facility-demand models of peak period pedestrian and bicycle traffic; midblock crosswalks; safe and comfortable walking environments; and adaptive walk intervals.
