Generally, nondestructive testing methods of concrete have been developed on the base of an indirect appraisal of strength through the modulus of elasticity. The method presented here, may be considered as nondestructive, based on the localized fracture of concrete under high compressive stresses applied to an extremely small area. This test does not destroy the structural element, but does destroy the material that is analyzed.
