IMPROVEMENT IN THE APPLICABILITY OF A METHOD FOR ESTIMATING ROAD FRICTION ON SMA/POROUS PAVEMENT AND EVALUATION OF THE EFFICACY OF DEICING SALT SPREADING

SMA・排水性舗装に対する路面すべり推定法の適用性向上と凍結防止剤事後散布の有効性評価

The applicability of a method for estimating the surface friction of roads paved with stone mastic asphalt and porous asphalt was improved by new indoor experiments, and the efficacy of deicing salt spreading was evaluated by simulations based on the method in this study. The results were as follows. (1) Formulas were derived from the relation between the amount of water applied and the mean thickness of ice film on the dense-graded, stone mastic and porous asphalt pavements. (2) Formulas were also derived from the relation between the proportion of salt lost to penetration and the mean thickness of ice film on the stone mastic and porous asphalt pavements. (3) This study has enabled to estimate the road friction after deicing salt spreading considering weather, road conditions, pavement type and traffic. (4) The influence of pavement type, air or road temperature, amount of water and deicing agents applied, and hourly traffic volume on the road friction after deicing agent application was clarified. 本研究では,SMA舗装および排水性舗装に対する路面すべり推定法の適用性を向上させるために新たに室内試験を実施した.また,路面すべり推定法を用いた数値シミュレーションから密粒度舗装,SMA舗装および排水性舗装における凍結防止剤事後散布の有効性を調べた. 結果,(1)密粒度舗装,SMA舗装および排水性舗装における散水量と平均氷膜厚の関係を定式化した,(2)SMA舗装および排水性舗装における鉛直損失塩率と平均氷膜厚の関係を定式化した,(3)気象,路面状態,舗装の種類および交通を考慮して事後散布後の路面すべり摩擦係数を推定可能にした,(4)舗装の種類,温度,散水量,散布量および時間交通量が事後散布後の路面すべり摩擦係数に及ぼす影響を明らかにした.
