REPEATED LOADINGS OF FINE NON-SATURATED COMPACTED SOILS

The continual passages of vehicles on a pavement are capable of modifying the characteristics of resistance and the deformation of the foundation soil. Numerous road laboratories have endeavored, for several years, to put into practice experiments of repeated loadings permitting this evolution to follow. This research has shown that the classic experiments permitting gradual and slow application of loading on soil are generally badly suited.
