TRANSPORTATION USA

"Transportation USA" is a magazine published quarterly by the Department of Transportation for the purpose of making known what is happening currently in the field of transportation. This particular issue for example features articles on the diminishing prominence of the railroad, Alaskan pipelines, the latest design in buses, and an interview with a lock operator for the St. Lawrence Seaway. In addition, there are short news items on safety, current projects at DOT, personnel profiles, grants and contracts, publications information and an editorial by the Secretary of Transportation.
