PERMEABILITY TESTS IN ALLUVIAL DEPOSITS AND THE DETERMINATION OF KO

A brief description is given of the site at which an extensive program of in situ constant head permeability tests has been carried out. The effect of hydraulic fracture on the results of such permeability tests is discussed, from which a method of estimating KO is evolved. Comparison is made with a test method given by Bjerrum and Andersen (1972) and with independent measurements carried out by Wroth and Hughes (1973). /AUTHOR/
