A REVIEW OF CLINICAL METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT OF DRINKING DRIVERS

The current methods of treatment of pre-alcoholic and alcoholic individuals are outlined as a background to recommendations for the management of the young drinking driver, eg. Education into the nature of alcohol and its effects, group discussion and psychotherapy. Recommendations are put forward for the treatment of apprehended drinking drivers and problem drinkers.
