USER REQUIREMENTS FOR MODERN NAUTICAL CHARTS

Paper stresses the need for new and improved techniques in the construction of nautical charts to satisfy current and future navigational requirements and to reduce or minimize the cost of chart production. Each series of nautical charts is reviewed to determine the need for new or improved formats, changes in coverage, and adequacy of scale required by the user.
