FATIGUE BEHAVIOR OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE IN A SHIP HULL IS ANALYZED

The study consists of an explanatory introduction and sections covering: prestressed concrete pilings, cyclic loadings, endurance of prestressed concrete, shear and bond, effects of submergence; and finally design recommendations and conclusions. Five graphs of concrete characteristics are also included. The bulletin contains background information, observations on present design practices, and many results from past research into concrete properties. This information, gathered from more than thirty sources, is used as a basis for design recommendations and conclusions.
