ALCOHOL FUELS: A CONFERENCE HELD AT THE SEBEL TOWN HOUSE, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, AUGUST 9-11, 1978. PAPERS

Australia faces an increasing problem with the supply of transport fuels in the 1980's. Crude oil production from known oil fields will be decreasing but demand may still be rising. This will leave a gap to be filled by imports, new discoveries or substitutes which may help to fill this gap. Papers presented at the conference discuss the role of alcohol as liquid fuels for automobiles, technology of methanol production, economics of methanol production, effect on the environment and reactions from the government and private sector. /TRRL/
