DYNAMICALLY LOADED BEARINGS FOR SHIP INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES

DINAMICHESKI NAGRUZHENNYYE PODSHIPNIKI SUDOVYKH DVIGATELEY VNUTRENNEGO SGORANIYA

This book deals with the hydrodynamic theory of lubricating slide bearings by solving a system of differential flow equations as applied to the operating conditions of ship internal combustion engines. The experimental results of dynamically loaded bearings are used as a basis for determining the temperature distribution in the supporting lubricant layer, taking into account the variability of the lubricant viscosity. The procedure for the hydrodynamic calculation of bearings loaded with variable forces is shown using concrete examples. Methods of increasing the operational reliability of bearings of the diesel crankshaft under transient loading are recommended. The book is intended for engineering and technical personnel of design bureaus specializing in marine diesel engine building and scientific workers engaged in the solution of problems of increasing the reliability and the service life of marine internal combustion engines.
